Sushi Cook Job Description at ZZ's Club NYCZZ's Club NYC, a renowned private membership club, is seeking an experienced Sushi Cook to join our team. As a Sushi Cook at ZZ's Club, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality sushi dishes according to our prescribed methods.Responsibilities:

• Prepare all food products according to the prescribed methods, both during service and prior preparation
• Ensure all internal and state regulations, such as DOH/Food & safety/HACCP/Beverage, are followed
• Complete mise en place list in the allotted time, ensuring all sections of sushi are ready for each service
• Acquire recipe knowledge and section setup to smoothly execute service
• Manage inventory levels for a wide range of raw fish and other ingredients
• Ensure consistent menu execution by using tools such as line checks, menu change SOPs, and recipes
• Acute attention to detail in the food preparation process, mastering quality controlRequirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience in high-volume and fine dining restaurants
  • Previous experience in Michelin-starred and/or NY Times-starred restaurants is preferred
  • A strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine is required
  • This position requires a flexible schedule and weekends are necessary
