We are hiring! The Enterprise Services Business Risk Office
provides risk management support to several lines of business
including: Brand, Enterprise Supplier Management, Enterprise
Products & Experience (EPX), Software, External Affairs, eData,
Global Workplace Solutions, Emerging Payments, Ventures, and Tech.
As the risk team for Software, we are on the cutting edge of risk
management and provide support for new and emerging technologies as
well as critical business strategies. Capital One has taken a bold
journey to build a technology company, while operating in a
complex, highly regulated business.
Today, the Capital One Software line of business is exploring how
these internal solutions across cloud, data, governance, and
applications could serve the needs of other companies born or built
in the cloud.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of process management
strategies, risk methodologies and ability to build relationships
with business and risk partners.
Our team is passionate about proactively identifying current and
emerging risks by utilizing technology to gather insights,
analyzing datasets, and synthesizing the evolving risk
landscape.
Responsibilities:
Partner with Capital One Software and leverage a trusted advisor
model to support business initiatives, issue management, process
improvement, control testing and related risk assessment
activities
Develop a deep understanding of business strategies, products,
services, and risk profile
Ensure independent escalation of risk management gaps, issues, and
concerns, including emerging risks and regulatory focus areas
Consult on Risks across the first line of defense business partners
providing advice and guidance as needed
Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management,
bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage
work in a dynamic complex environment.
Implement process improvements: process certification framework,
process hierarchy change management, change control, and risk
reporting
Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive project
/ program efforts
Communicate complex ideas concisely and convincingly, adjust
communication to the audience and comfortable with presenting to
executive leadership
Leveraging problem solving and influencing skills to ensure project
plans deliver on intent
Partnering cross-functionally with project customers to provide
strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive
project delivery
Collaborative, values diverse perspectives and seeks insights from
others. Brings energy to the group and rallies them around a common
goal
Display a passion for coaching and developing a team of associates
through their leadership style

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or military experience
At least 10 years of experience in Risk Management
At least 8 years of People Management experience
At least 8 years of experience in project management, risk program
management, Cloud risk management or process management
At least 8 years of experience supporting or partnering with
internal clients, external clients, or a combination of the two
At least 8 years of experience consulting with senior
executives
At least 4 years of experience working in cross functional
teams
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 10 years of experience in project management, process
management, or agile delivery
At least 10 years of experience managing senior stakeholders across
different business functions
At least 10 years of experience writing communications and
presentations for leadership audience
At least 10 years of experience in strategy development in
financial or technology services

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are
listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information
is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these
locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay
at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be
prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly
worked.
New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $233,100 - $266,000 for Director,
Cyber Risk & AnalysisIllinois (Hybrid On-Site): $217,300 - $248,000
for Director, Cyber Risk & AnalysisCandidates hired to work in
other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with
that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to
any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the
candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive
compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term
incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non
discretionary depending on the plan.Capital One offers a
