About the Role:Purslane, a leading zero-waste and carbon-neutral catering company, is seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to drive growth in the corporate, non-profit, weddings & social catering markets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing new business opportunities, fostering relationships with potential clients, and driving financial growth through innovative strategies.Key Responsibilities:

• Research and assess potential new business projects, brands, and expansion into new markets.
• Develop and implement effective business development strategies to increase revenue and enhance brand recognition.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at potential and existing businesses.
• Lead the end-to-end sales process, including lead generation, proposal development, contract negotiations, and closing.
• Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform business strategies.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of new business initiatives and report findings to senior management.Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years in New York catering sales with thorough understanding of the New York City catering, food, and beverage market.
  • Proven track record of identifying and executing new business opportunities.
  • Excellent face-to-face, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Working knowledge of Asana or comparable project management software.
  • Availability to work flexible hours to meet business demands.
