Job Description:

Our North Babylon Store is actively seeking an experienced Dairy Manager for its busy store. This new FT Dairy Manager will provide excellent customer service while following our company operating procedures. Responsibilities Department Assessment Responsible for the review of freezer and cooler conditions to ensure operations which will include ensuring of freezer temperatures, proper placement of inventory, rotation, cleanliness and all other Department Manager functions. Our Manager will also notate any areas that need improvement and develop strategies to improve those functions/items. The manager assesses merchandise handling to find ways to increase productivity in the department. Customer Service Responsible for communicating customer service issues with staff members to develop solutions. The manager will provide current procedures to ensure that quality service is followed with exceptional service to exceed customer needs. If the customer has any complaints, the manager resolves them in a timely manner. Associate Training Will be responsible for training staff members in their job responsibilities, including product knowledge, sanitation and customer service. The manager teaches department standards and policies along with how sales are handled on a seasonal basis. Other duties and functions as assigned Requirements HS Diploma or equivalent A minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Dairy Manager in a fast paced retail environment Must have in depth experience of a grocery Dairy Department, inventory, shelf life, rotation of stock, staffing, training, delegating, scheduling and all other Dairy Management functions Requires excellent management skills with exceptional customer service skills Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way Must be able to speak, read and understand the English language Ability to work all assigned work schedules Great communication skills is needed in this position We offer a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, pet insurance, 50% discount on lunch, 25% store discount and more! Working Conditions Most of the time is spent moving about continuously on hard surfaces. There may be a need to frequently position oneself to examine and/or scan merchandise, including bending, climbing, crawling, handling, pulling, reaching, and stooping. May require lifting objects up to 30 pounds. May require lifting and moving heavy and/or awkward objects more than 30 pounds with assistance. Usually in a comfortable indoor environment surrounded by moving machinery and/or loud equipment that may require shouting in order to be heard. There could be exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, and/or coolers. There may be occasional exposure to cleaning agents, sharp objects/industrial equipment necessary to perform job duties and functions. Employment Type: Full Time Salary: $58,000 - $70,000 Annual
